Merit Badge Counselor Training
There is a merit badge counselor training session this Monday 13, 2017 at the Counsel office in Milford. The meeting starts at 7pm and lasts about an hour. This training is required if you want to be a MBC. Please let me know if you are interested in attending this session. You only need to go to one training.
Address: 60 Wellington Rd, Milford, CT 06461
Phone: (203) 876-6868
We are trying to get people trained as merit badge counselors. The more the merrier. Our goal by doing this is to offer as many of the Eagle required badges as we can in house at Troop 67. These merit badges are difficult for the boys to find and they usually require the most work on their end. You can get them at merit badge college and some at summer camp, but they are not always offered when the boys need them. So, grab your son’s scout book and take a look at the Eagle required badges and other badges and see which ones you think you can do in the troop. I hope many of you can go through the training which has a very small time commitment. In one evening session while the boys have their meeting, you can get trained to become a merit badge counselor.

The Big Trip 2017
This years Big Trip will be the weekend of Friday June 23 to Monday June 26th. We will be going to Cape Cod, with a day trip out to either Nantrucket or Martha's Vineyard. I will be reserving campground space this week and need a reasonably firm count of the number of families interested. The three nights at the campground is expected to cost $108 per Family. This may come down slightly depending on the size of sites and our ability to put more than 1 tent on a camp site. However all families that would like to camp should bring a Check for $40 as a deposit, to this Wednesdays (3/22/17) meeting, to lock in their spot. Space may be limited.
